Why is it so important to be compassionite anyway? At times it is difficult to be compassionite towards others. You may not want to give them even just a little compassion. What do you think would be the right thing to do, though? What would Jesus do?
Say someone hurt you in a way. Would you hurt them back? Or would you give them a second chance? Would you forgive them for hurting you even when they may not deserve it?
We think people don't deserve forgiveness and compassion. But, God thought the opposite. He sent his own son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. We do not deserve forgiveness. He showed compassion toward sinners, you and me. God let his own son die the worst death ever so we could be forgiven. He died so we don't have to go to that terrible place called Hell. Now we can go to Heaven instead of Hell. What an awesome God!
It sure makes you think what forgiveness and compassion is. Maybe we should show some compassion toward others even when they do not deserve it. Just like Jesus did for us.
This is like my favorite post. It really speaks a lot.
