My Favorite Place

There are so many wonderful places in this world God has created.  Or places He used man to build.  People have many favorite places that they don't really know which place is their #1 favorite!
Your favorite place might be the mall, or your home.  It might be the woods or the beach.  It could also be a country, or maybe even a state.  It could be any place and anywhere!
My favorite place is Michigan.  Michigan is far north.  The area of Michigan, where I grew up, is in upper Michigan.  We call it the U.P., Upper Peninsula.  It is near Canada.  It only takes about six to eight hr. to drive to Canada.
Michigan has beautiful forests and trees, great campgrounds and hiking trails.  Nice beaches are along Lake Michigan and Lake Superior.  We like to go camping up there.  Michigan is a nice state for outdoor recreation.
The weather in Michigan is mostly cold.  Not nearly as bad as Alaska, though!  Michigan's winters can be very cold.  Most people hate the cold.  I'm not too big on the cold weather either, but when it comes to snow - I'm all in! Michigan is a great place to go sledding, snowmobiling, ice skating, build snow forts and snowmen.  Snowball fights are even fun.
Michigan summers are normal.  It's not too hot during the summer.  It stays warm for basically three to four months of the year.  Then, it gets cool again.  Summer is nice in Michigan.  But I love winter!  It is my favorite season.
Michigan is wonderful.  I love my Michigan.  I enjoy going there when I can.  I have great, fun, loving friends and cousins both in Michigan and Wisconsin.  I have grandparents and aunts and uncles who love to spend time with us.  Michigan is my favorite place in the whole wide world.

  2. No, I'm not coming home for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. We are probably coming up next summer, though. Kaila started saying "seesters", so we call each other that. It's kinda fun.
